One Month Old

Mylie hit the one month mark today! She had an appointment this morning with the pediatrician and Dr Todd said "She's growing like a weed!" She now weighs 8 lbs, 1 oz and is 21 inches. We are so proud!

Merry Christmas!

We wish you a Merry Christmas! We went to Christmas Eve services at church and then to Nick's Italian Restaurant for dinner with my brother Ryan as he spent Christmas with us this year.
Mylie wore her new Christmas onesie and eagerly awaited opening gifts...actually, she cried the entire time we opened gifts. I'm sure she'll love Christmas next year!
Mylie met Uncle Sam, Aunt Carrie and cousins Jered and Rory for the first time on Christmas Day...
...and hung out with Uncle Ryan after a long day.

3 Weeks Today!

She still sleeps a lot during the day, but she is very alert when she's awake.
Turning 3 weeks is exhausting!

Almost 3 Weeks!

Mylie had her 2 week check up with Dr Todd last week. She is becoming quite the chunker. She gained 11 oz in 9 days!
We have had great weather here in Houston over the last week or so. We went on a walk last week with Grandma Carole, Martie the Lab and Baxter the Beagle. She really seems to like her stroller and being outdoors.
My friend Katie, who is also a new mom, got us this onesie. However, late night feedings don't really feel much like party. Most nights, we both fall asleep and what should be a 30 minute feedings ends up being over an hour...we're working on this.

Week One at Home

Mylie, David and I have been at home now for one week. I cannot believe how fast this week has gone by. We're all getting used to each other and she is such a joy. David and I find ourselves staring at her and are absolutely smitten.
