My Two Teeth

Mylie's been gnawing on her hands, drooling all over the place, having a runny nose, fussing when she's typically the happiest baby on earth, waking up multiple times at night and now it all makes sense. She got her first tooth on Saturday. This morning we were looking at her new tooth and saw that a second tooth was there too. And she'll be 6 months Monday. That is a ton of excitement for one household!

Talking to Nonna & Uncle Mike

David's parents and brother were in town over the weekend and as we were driving around town, Mylie was telling them all about her life so far.

"Triplefun" with the Exersaucer

Mylie got an exersaucer and I think it is currently her favorite toy. Actually, there is a small manufacturer's tag on toy frog on the exersaucer, and that is currently her favorite.

The pictures above are of her first time to play with her new contraption. I think she was a bit overwhelmed since there is a lot going on. But as you can see below, she really has fun and gets Dad to play with her too.

My First Mother's Day

Not only did I have a great Mother's Day, we had a fantastic Mother's Day Weekend! Here's what we did...

Friday morning, Mylie's Great Grandma Dobbs and Great Uncle Pat came over to play. They also sent me these beautiful flowers for my first Mother's Day.

Philip, Heidi, Macy & Harper came into town Friday night and stayed the weekend.

Saturday morning, David & Philip took Macy & Mylie for a walk while Heidi and I got caught up.

Saturday afternoon, the husbands sent Heidi and I to a spa for a pedicure while they took the girls to the Rangers game. It was Mylie's first trip to a MLB game. She went often to the Astros games when I was pregnant and was confused when the crowd would sing "Let's Go Rangers" because she wanted to sing "Let's Go Astros".

We joined the guys and kids after our pedicures were finished.

The Houston's left for Houston after lunch on Sunday. I can't think of a better way to spend my Mother's Day than with my David and Mylie and some of our most wonderful friends. We wanted them to get home and not spend the day driving, but we were also very sad to see them go! Here are a couple of other pictures from the weekend.

Pink Burrito

If any of us want any sleep around here, Mylie has to be swaddled. And even though she is 5 months, she still loves to have her arms secured next to her. David suggested that we take her out of the swaddle since she's getting to be a big girl, but our pediatrician in Houston assured me that Mylie will let us know when she doesn't want to be tightly wrapped up. I have tried to put her down for a nap unswaddled, but all that happens is she takes a quick 15-20 minute nap as she will wake herself up by rubbing her nose, eyes and knocks her pacifier out of her mouth. Hopefully I'm not doing any permanent damage. I guess we'll know damage is done if Mylie goes to college and has her roommate zip her up each night in a sleeping bag!

See how happy she looks? (I was also making a really goofy face to get her to smile.)
